offlead helps dog owners discover secure private dog fields across the UK through our website and mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.

2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, username, profile photo, postcode, sign-in provider, and authentication identifiers.
- Dog and profile information: optional profile details you add in the app, including dog profiles and preferences.
- Location information: approximate or precise location when you allow it, used to show nearby fields, directions, search results, and app features such as check-ins.
- Field activity: saved favourite fields, reviews, ratings, uploaded photos, check-ins, field views, and support requests.
- Technical data: device type, browser, app version, IP address, crash reports, diagnostics, and usage analytics.
- Owner information: details submitted by field owners, including field name, website, booking links, contact details, and listing or promotion requests.
3. How we use information
- Provide search, field pages, favourites, reviews, account features, and app functionality.
- Personalise search results, saved fields, and location-based suggestions.
- Moderate reviews, protect users, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
- Improve the website, app, data quality, and field discovery experience.
- Communicate service updates, support replies, and owner/listing updates.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid requests.
4. Services we use
We use trusted service providers to operate offlead, including Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, analytics and hosting; Google Maps for maps, places, geocoding and directions; Apple and Google app stores for app distribution; and payment or booking providers if future booking features are enabled.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and browser storage
We use browser storage for essential features such as Firebase authentication sessions.
If you dismiss the app promo banner, we store that preference in your browser for up to 30 days so we do not show it on every visit. That is a functional preference, not advertising.
With your consent, we may use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies (Google AdSense) to show ads in the search results list. You can choose Essential only or Accept all in the cookie banner, and change your mind later via Cookie settings.
6. Reviews, photos, and public content
Reviews, ratings, public profile details, and field photos you submit may be displayed to other users. Do not upload personal information about other people unless you have permission.
7. Data retention
We keep account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we aim to delete or anonymise personal account data within 30 days, unless we need to retain limited records for legal, security, fraud prevention, or dispute reasons.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information. You can also withdraw location permissions through your device settings.

9. Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data from our Delete Account page or by emailing hello@offlead.app.
10. Children
offlead is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the website, app, booking tools, or monetisation features change. The latest version will always be available on this page.
